Stress Management

Anger and Stress Management

When people have continuous problems with stress or anger issues, counseling can help. The client (after an assessment) learns and practices new ways to recognize triggers to stress or anger, and new ways to manage the triggers before problems arise. Sometimes, people are mandated by the courts or by the Department of Family and Children Services for anger management. We then assess the problems and possible co-occurring mental health issues and work with the client to find healthier ways to respond to everyday stress and frustration .

Stress Management: a cognitive behavioral approach that teaches people to handle stressful situations by understanding their own stressors and coping skills to find appropriate responses.
