Ms. Sherrill has been in the field of mental health since earning her Master's degree in Community Counseling from Georgia State University in 1986. She has been licensed (number 1731) since 1991. Extensive hospital and private practice work has given her a wide range of experience. She started in the field of deafness in 1994 while working at the Georgia Council for the Hearing Impaired until 1999. Over the years, Ms. Sherrill has received specialized training in experiential psychology and in working with childhood, sexual and physical abuse, post-traumatic stress disorders, anxiety and depression, as well as dual diagnosis disorders. She is a long-standing member of the National Board of Certified Counselors and the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia.

Ms. Sherrill holds licenses from the Georgia Composite Board of Social Workers, Professional Counselors, and Marriage and Family Therapists and are certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). Both are members of the Licenced Professional Counselors Association of GA (LPCAGA).

Ms. Victoria Porter is hearing and has been involved with ASL and the Deaf Culture for one year.  She graduated from Georgia Southern University (GO EAGLES!!) with a B.A. in Broadcasting in Spring 2009.  Since then, she has been actively involved with the deaf community and began taking ASL classes at Georgia Perimeter College in January 2008.  Currently, she is a member of ASL FRIENDS, which has increased her exposure to a wide array of deaf individuals.  Some of her hobbies include participating in deaf-related activities, reading, playing volleyball, white water rafting, or anything that keeps her mind and body active.  She looks forward to gaining more knowledge about Deaf Culture, so don't be shy to chat with her when you see her in the office.
